About Me

Welcome to my site!

Whether you are new to the fire life, an old pro, or just curious, come on in and join me as I talk about the wow’s and the woe’s of life through the lens of my fire life family.

Hi! My name is Krissi Harris.  Not only am I a treasured fire wife and mom, but I am also a Medical Assistant and Sunday School teacher. Not to mention, a bouncer, referee, chef, event coordinator, schedule planner, maid, ATM, and I could go on.

Yes, I wear many hats, but I’m sure you do too, and can relate. This is why I wanted to start a blog. I knew there were others out there who were experiencing the same highs and lows of life as me, and sometimes just talking it out gives encouragement to others. So here I am. To share with you the exciting moments, and the tough moments.

Now, a little bit more about me…

In November 2022, I married my amazing Fire Captain husband, Kenneth, who is going on his 25th year of service in the Fire Dept. Both of us being previously married, we each brought three kids into the marriage, making us a family of eight. Yeehaw! (By the way, we are from Texas).

Even though I am new in my role as a fire wife, I have quickly realized that you have to be tough to reside in this spot. So, to all the fire wives out there, I commend you. My ultimate hope and mission is that you will find inspiration and encouragement from my blog.

Let me leave you with these little gems…

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing”. – 1 Thessalonians 5:11

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong”.  – 1 Corinthians 16:13

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”. – Joshua 1:9
